Eyestrain
Many people spend long periods looking at their phones, tablets, computer screens and televisions. This continued use of digital screens will lead to eye strain. In this modern world, almost all jobs require people to focus on the digital screen for several hours per day. Other than jobs children are addicted to computer games. And they always focus on digital screens for playing. This will also lead to eye strain. Other than jobs many people use their free time to use mobile phones or tablets to relax after work. There fore little respite for eyes.
During this pandemic, the percentage of using digital screens is increased many times. Increased use of screens causes the person's eyes to work harder than usual. And this hard work will lead to increased eye strain and thereby disturbance in vision. Using these digital screens at appropriate angles may also cause eye strain and pain in the neck. Prolonged use of digital screens is a primary cause of headaches in children. Human eyes are normally protected from external injuries by self-defence mechanisms. Blinking is a self-defence mechanism of the eyes to keep the surface clean and lubricated. While using digital screens blinking rate drops dramatically. The main problem associated with eye strain is headache, neck and shoulder pain, dim vision, dry or burning of eyes and sensitivity to bright lights.
How to prevent this eye strain? The answer is simple to reduce the screen time. But if it is a part of your job then practising certain exercises are the only method to reduce eye strain. Frequent blinking of the eyes is the first and foremost method to reduce eye strain. And keeping eyes closed for a particular duration is also helpful. If these methods don’t work and you are suffering from associated problems then you should consult your homeopath. Homeopathy will help you to reduce eye strain and associated complaints.
